Upcoming call within the field of preventive and health-promoting interventions
On 8 December, Forte will open a call for programme grants in the field of public health. The call aims to contribute to establishing new research environments or to strengthen and develop existing research environments. The overall goal is to contribute to long-term knowledge and competence development on preventive and health-promoting interventions within the eight target areas of the Swedish public health policy.
Grant type
One grant type is available within this call: Programme grants. The grant limit is SEK 24 million for six years.
Focus area
The call for proposals aims to build knowledge and research capacity regarding preventive and health-promoting interventions within the eight target areas of the Swedish public health policy and its overarching goal: good and equitable health for the entire population.
Applications within this call should therefore focus on one or more of these target areas. Research that address interventions cutting across different sectors of society is particularly welcomed. Forte sees both a great need for and good opportunities for collaboration in research to increase the relevance for policy and practice. Collaboration in the research process can look differently, but we encourage close collaboration with target groups that are affected by the research and that can contribute important experiences and perspectives.
The call for proposals is a part of Forte’s effort into research on prevention and public health. Read more in the statement of orientation for the initiative (in Swedish).
Requirements for applying
For Forte to approve Swedish applicants, the applicant must have completed a doctoral degree. To be able to apply for a grant, a Swedish university or another research funding body must administrate the funding and have an organisational account in Prisma. The administering organisation should apply for this in due time via Prisma.
